Some will key to P. bellii in Ackerfield (2015) at couplet 17 per the shape of the basal leaves, which can be entire to very shallowly once dentate. However, FNANM sends this in the direction of P. vitulifera at couplet 12 based on the relative development of the basal and apical sinuses of the fruit.
