Frasera albomarginata, California, San Bernardino County, Mojave National Preserve, Wild Horse Mesa

This is a photograph of my experimental plot on the north face of Wild Horse Mesa. The white stakes mark the location of individual plants of Frasera albomarginata. The soil is poorly developed on a broken lacustrine (fresh-water) limestone known as the Winkler Formation.
