Lower slopes on the west side of North Table Mountain, along side of North Table Loop, just a few meters north of the access road to the trailhead, 3.2 km. north northwest of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.7833°N, 105.2298°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 1835 m. Coll. No. 1504, 13 July 2016, characters observed: Perennial herb, to 60 cm., ±tomentose throughout; Leaves, basal, petiole 35 mm. + blade 75 mm. × 30 mm. wide, very deeply pinnafitid, segments filiform, ultimate divisions 8-18 mm., cauline, #4-5, similar, reduced above, bases conspicuously tomentose; Inflorescence, heads borne singly on peduncles, 22-45 mm., #(5) 7 (15); Involucre, 8 mm. × 15 mm. wide; Receptacle, epaleate, flat; Phyllaries, 2 series, 7 mm. × 2.5 mm. wide; inner > outer, margins chartaceous, tips broad scarious; Flowers, 1 kind; Disk flowers, corolla, yellow; Pappus, scales, 1.2 mm.; Achenes, 5 mm., hairy all over, more so on the angles.
