No. 1021, 24 Jul 2013, characters observed while keying: Perennial herb to 35 cm., from rhizome, not gland-dotted; Stipules, surrounding stem forming a sheath; Leaves, compound, odd pinnate, hairs branched (appearance is more like double-ended and anchored in middle); Leaflets, 17-21, tip without gland; Inflorescence, many flowers in a head-like spike; Flowers, 13 mm., greenish; Keel, 10 mm., tip purple-tinged, rounded.
