Penstemon virgatus A. Gray var. asa-grayi (Crosswh.) Dorn.  Upright Blue Beardtongue.

Salt Creek, Park County, Colorado. Small valley between two ridges, just north of Salt Creek and Pike-San Isabel National Forest Road 435 "Salt Creek Road," 3.1 mi. by road west of US Highway 285, 145 km. southwest of the GNIS location of Golden. 38.959衹, 106.012訖. WGS 1984 Elev. 2853 m. Valley bottom, around a small grove of aspens, also collected here: Oxytropis sericea, Oenothera coronopifolia, and Artemisia frigida.
