No. 2092, 26 June 2019, characters observed: Perennial herb 20 cm.; Stem ascending, short spreading white hairs; Leaves, cauline, alternate, sessile, not clasping, blade 23 mm. × 4.5 mm. wide, 5× long/wide, reduced distally, oblanceolate, entire, eglandular, white curved hairs but not appressed (FNANM: strigoso-hirsute), margins, entire; Inflorescence, heads enclosed by involucre, heads #3+ per stem, not overtopped by leaves; Peduncles, 24-50 mm.; Involucre, 10-11 mm. wide × 5.5 mm. high, ellipsoid; Phyllaries, ±equal, 3± series, 4 mm. × 0.6 mm. wide, green, minutely glandular, margins flat, tips acute; Receptacle, epaleate; Flowers, 2 kinds, Ray flowers, many, tube 2 mm. + blade 5-6 mm. × 0.5 mm. wide, lavender, fertile, pappus, very short scales with a few barbellate bristles; Disk flowers, many, tube 2 mm. + lobes 0.4 mm., tube white, lobes yellow, pappus, alternating very short scales and barbellate bristles, 1.5 mm.; Fruit, 0.8 mm., slightly compressed front to back, light brown, sparsely hairy.
