Collected late season, but still with unopened buds; heavily infested with aphids. Northwestern Mono Basin, Copper Mountain area, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. (38.0563,-119.2108,WGS 1984.) 9/10/2011 Jordan Spring, Mono County, California.

No. 796, characters observed while keying: Perennial herb, to 3 dm; Stolons 0; Stem ascending, lightly hairy, hairs similar length; Leaves palmately compound, basal leaves prominent in flowering; Leaflets regular toothed, teeth 11-15, ± 1/2 toward vein, surfaces similarly hairy; Pedicels 18 mm, straight; Flowers 7-10, in cymes; Sepals 5, < petals; Petals 5, 6 mm wide, slightly 2-lobed; Receptacle in fruit not strawberry-like; Stamens many (> 10); Style jointed to fruit, 2 mm, slender; and Achenes smooth, glabrous, not fleshy coated.
