Interpretive Sign:
Pacific Coast Railway Boxcar #1200 Group
This 36 foot boxcar was built by the Pacific Car and Foundry Company in 1924. This boxcar was the longest of all the Pacific Coast Railway Boxcars and is the only survivor of this group. The boxcar were numbered 1200-12_8 (even numbers). This boxcar was used as a farmer's shed after the closure of the Pacific Coast Railway and all indications of a car number have been removed.
