Solitary horn coral found in Bonanza King Canyon.
Found in a dark gray limestone with crinoids and brachiopods, it likely is from the late Paleozoic, from the Pennsylvannian (Matt McMackin, personal communication). In the eastern Mojave, as well as southern Nevada, the late Paleozoic is found in the Monte Cristo Formation and the Bird Spring Formation.
