These photographs, taken May 25, 2001, show the habitat of Fragrant Snowberry (Symphoricarpos longiflorus) at Lobo Point. The plant is the meter-high shrub growing around the Pinyon Pine in the approximate center of the photograph. To date, this is the only location at which I have found this species. A search of University and Jepson Herbaria at UC Berkeley showed specimens collected by Mary Beal in Fountain Canyon, Providence Mountains, Annie Alexander and Louise Kellogg in Caruthers Canyon, and Carl Wolf in Keystone Canyon.
