North-south oriented mountain range in the Desert Wildlife Natural Range and Nellis Air Force Base; bounded on the west by Indian Spring Valley, and on the east by an unnamed closed basin.

Psorothamnus fremontii (A. Gray) Barneby, Fremont's Indigo Bush, from near Sand Canyon in the Pintwater Range was studied by Adams and York (2005).
