Narrow canyon of the Colorado River, now flooded by Lake Mead, about 15 miles upstream from Hoover Dam.

As an application of their criteria-based methodology for determining the mechanism of transverse drainage development, Douglass, et al. (2009) determined overflow as the mechanism for transverse drainage through Boulder Canyon.

Not accessible by road.
