Large closed basin on the California-Nevada border. Stretches from Cima, California, northwest, including Ivanpah Lake, across the Nevada state line, past Roach Lake and Jean, to a divide at Erie, where it meets Las Vegas Valley. Bounded at various locations by the Ivanpah Mountains, New York Mountains, Clark Mountain Range, Spring Mountains, McCullough Range, and the Bird Spring Range.


Elevation: 3120ft.
