Eastern Mojave Vegetation San Francisco Mountain, Coconino County, Arizona.

Gazetteer

Query: G.N.I.S.

San Francisco Mountain includes Agassiz Peak, Fremont Peak and Humphreys Peak. Because of the several peaks, the mountain has also been called San Francisco Peaks (locally in 1930's), Humphreys Peak (Wheeler), Humphrey Mountain (General Land Office map, 1909), San Francisco Peak (General Land Office and U.S. Geological Survey maps in 1903). The U.S. Board on Geographic Names 1911 decision was not definite as to the application of the name (peak or mountain); therefore it was redefined in 1933 (US-T121).

Elevation: 12267ft, 3739m.
