STOP M - 2 North Harvard Hill. Walk southeast to the pale green Shamrock Tuff under silicified limestone beds. We will discuss the age of the tuff, its regional correlation with the ~18.5 Ma Peach Spring Tuff, and the significance for the Barstow basin. Compare stratigraphy in the north block of Harvard Hill with that of the south block.
